Observation complete

My observation took place in the emergency room of St. Joesph hospital at about 10:00pm on a Tuesday.  I wanted to do it there because it related to my research topic.  Anyway there were a lot of nurses and doctors very busy. The emergency room was full as it usually is.  People were in there for various reasons.  All of a different race or background.  Some are screaming in pain and others are sitting there as though nothing is wrong.  I watched the nurses and doctors work on each patient.  Some of the staff were overly nice and others were not so nice.  The waiting room is pretty nice size. Over all it was interesting to sit there and observe and really watch what they are doing and how some staff really hate there job.  For me and it just allowed me too see that I really will enjoy my job.  Work load will be very but to help people makes all worth wild.  So that's my observation.

Research topic 2

For this paper I have chosen to write on option 1.  It will be about Nurse Practitioners and Primary Care.  I chose this because what I have found out already is medical boards and legislators want to take away practices from non physicians including nurse practitioners.  I chose this also because it is something I would need to know about since this is what I want to pursue.

Interview Results

After completing my interview I found that I learned what I expected to.  I learned about the amount hard work and schooling it takes to become a Nurse Practitioner.  I learned the difference between a RN and a Nurse Practitioner.  Everything I learned was really interesting though to gain this information someone actually working in the field.  To get this information I asked questions along the lines describe your education and experience, and describe your what your job entails specifically if you work in a special field etc.  I enjoyed learning about what my job and career will be like and how rewarding it will be to help people in need.  Overall,  I learned a lot and gave all the information I had gathered credibility because it was I know someone who has been through it.
